The Venetian

The Venetian Resort in Las Vegas brings a bit of the spirit and vitality of Venice to the US. The resort has plenty of gourmet food, frescoed walls, gondola rides, and street performers. The Venetian offers its guests beautifully-decorated, spacious suites, plenty of dining options, tourist attractions, and a world-class shopping center. The Venetian was the idea of Sheldon Adelson, and it combines modern technology with the centuries-old culture and art of Venice.

When you enter the Venetian's lobby, you will probably see tourists taking pictures of the ceiling- it is covered by a very detailed and beautiful fresco that reaches from the reservations desk to the casino. Go from there to find a multitude of shopping opportunities in the Grand Canal Shoppes. Take a break from shopping, and have a bite at one of the many five-star restaurants, created by celebrity chefs such as Wolfgang Puck and Emeril Lagasse. There's also a branch of Madame Tussaud's wax museum at the Venetian. If you want to be pampered, the Canyon Ranch Spa Club is there. It's the largest spa in Vegas, with sixty-two treatment rooms and a multitude of services.

The guest suites of the Venetian are technologically savvy and pleasing to the eye, with accoutrements such as Italian marble flooring to a full bar. The resort's newest addition, the Venezia Tower, has luxurious rooms with vaulted ceilings, large bathrooms, flat screen TVs, phones and Internet access. The Tower also holds 122 Concierge suites that have an executive lounge, private access, and a wake-up call that includes coffee or tea service.

The pools at the Venetian resemble fountains found in a palazzo in Italy, and the amenities are some of the best in Vegas. The Venetian is a piece of Italy that has come to America- go to the Venetian and live the good life.
