Budget Hotels in Las Vegas

Like anywhere else, budget hotels in Las Vegas are those that give the guest a comfortable place to stay while not being too expensive. These hotels aren't exactly cheap, but compared to other lodging in Vegas, they are a steal. Here are some less-expensive hotel options in Vegas- pick one of these and you'll have more to spend at the tables.

1. Planet Hollywood's hotel is across from the famous Bellagio, and right next door to Paris, Las Vegas. This hotel boasts some of Vegas' best buffets, as well as a few prime standalone restaurants in the Miracle Mile Shops. This hotel is in the upper range of being affordable, and its location is ideal if you want to see as much as possible without renting a car or taking a taxi.

2. Another relatively low-priced choice is Bally's Hotel & Casino. It's at the corner of Las Vegas Blvd. and Flamingo, next door to Paris. The monorail makes a stop here, so you save your feet from more walking or you save on taxi fare. Bally's is seemingly close to everything, and nightly rates during the week are surprisingly low. If you are a sports bettor, this is your hotel.

3. Further down the Strip is the Flamingo Hotel & Casino. It's one of Vegas' original casino hotels, and it's had a few renovations done. Even at its fairly reasonable price, it provides a very upscale feel. The casino is a little on the small side, but the hotel pool is very nice. The Flamingo is close to just about everything- making it a good choice among budget hotels in Las Vegas.

4. New York, New York's Hotel & Casino can be one of the highest-priced hotels on this list, but if you check their website, you can sometimes find accommodations at a reduced price. This hotel has a top-tier food court, which helps keep dining costs down, and it has a large casino to keep the fun going all night long.

5. If loud music is more your style, check out Harrah's Hotel & Casino. This hotel gives off a more casual, fun vibe, and its food and drink specials will make your stay more budget-friendly and pleasurable. Harrah's has recently undergone a renovation, and it was a great success.

6. Situated between the ritzy Mandalay Bay and the lower-tier Excalibur is Luxor's hotel and casino. All three are connected by a walkway and a tram line, allowing you to dabble in all three worlds for the lowest price possible. The rooms and some decor are very dated but the nightlife is top-notch. There are bars like Aurora and Liquidity with low cover charges and drink specials, and high-class clubs like LAX for those that like to spend more.

7. The last hotel on our list is the Tropicana Hotel & Casino. It has kept its charm even as other, larger hotels opened up around it; its pool area is very nice and its rates are almost always low. Like the Luxor, some of the rooms and decor are a bit dated, but the low price makes up for the lack of trendy accessories.

This isn't a complete list of budget hotels in Las Vegas; many more hotel deals exist, if you know where to look for them. Next time you go to Vegas, check out one of the above hotels for a nice room at a good price.
