When you take a Travel Gateway trip to Las Vegas, there are some things you'll want to keep in mind while there. There's no other city like that in the world; it's awake 24 hours a day, seven days a week. It's easy to get caught up in everything that's going on in Las Vegas- here are some things to consider when you're there.
If you're in Vegas, the place to be is the center of the Strip. It may seem as if you can walk from one end of it to the other, but it's longer than it looks. Stay somewhere centrally located, so you won't have to walk too far to your destination. If you're just treating your hotel room as a place to sleep after a fun night, stay at a hotel with more reasonably priced rooms.
Every casino in Vegas is unique, offering different attractions. If you just want to play the slots, go to one of the older ones, but if you want to get dressed up in your finest, go to a newer casino such as the Venetian or the Bellagio.
If you plan to do some clubbing in Las Vegas, the most crowded nights are Thursday through Saturday night. If you want to experience Vegas nightlife to the fullest, get bottle service at the clubs you want to go to. This will cost a couple hundred dollars per club, but you'll get in immediately, and get drinks right away.
While there are family-friendly destinations in Las Vegas, it is still a city for adults. All the casinos are filled with smoke, there are countless billboards advertising adult entertainment, and there is a bar on practically every corner. There are very few places for those under 16; Circus Circus is one of the few family-friendly standouts.
Unless you are a seasoned gambler or you're bringing plenty of cash, don't expect to get rich by gambling. Even good players can go through hundreds of dollars in minutes. A good way to spend some time without spending a whole lot of money is to play the slots; some casinos have penny slots- your money will take you much farther. Set aside money for the tables and set aside money for the slots, and decide how quickly you want to spend it.
Most importantly, don't forget your camera. Like we said, Las Vegas is alive- capture some of that vitality on camera. Travel Gateway hopes you enjoy your trip, and the memories you create in Las Vegas.
